Despite passing it many times, and even getting half way up it, I have never seen the top of Ben Nevis. Weather conditions and my timing have, for decades, conspired to deny me a chance to see the highest point in the country.
However, While travelling on the m/v Isle of Mull recently there were many snow capped peaks to view on the journey. One of which I realised, after some quick mental geography, actually was Ben Nevis.
